Miscellaneous OCI Services
This service involves applying for Overseas Citizenship of India (OCI) status for the first time. Eligible individuals who meet the criteria for OCI can submit their applications along with the required documentation and fees to obtain OCI status.
In case an OCI card is lost, stolen, damaged, or contains incorrect information, individuals may apply for a replacement OCI card. The process involves submitting a request for a new OCI card along with relevant documentation and fees.
Prior to the introduction of OCI cards, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) were issued PIO cards. Individuals who hold PIO cards may apply to convert their PIO cards to OCI cards to avail of the benefits of OCI status.
This category includes various other services related to OCI, such as updating personal information (e.g., change of address, change of occupation), endorsement of new passports on existing OCI cards, and issuance of duplicate OCI cards.
Individuals who acquire citizenship of another country or no longer wish to retain OCI status may surrender their OCI cards. This involves submitting a request to cancel OCI status and return the OCI card to the Indian authorities.
